Cancellation, Modification & Refund Policy

Check-In and Check-Out Times

Check-In: 12:00 noon
Check-Out: 10:00 a.m.

If our check-in/out timings do not suit your holiday plans, please inform us in advance. We will do our best to arrange alternative room allotments, subject to availability and potential additional charges.

Cancellation and Alteration: We accommodate cancellations or alterations to bookings with prior notice at least one week before your check-in date. Please refer to our detailed Reservation, Cancellation, and Amendment Policies for more information.

Identification Requirements: For the check-in procedure, please bring a valid governmentissued photo ID and address proof. Acceptable forms of identification include passports, driving licenses, and voter ID cards. Please note that PAN Cards are not accepted as valid identity proof.

Payment Policies

The credit/debit card holder must be one of the travelers if you booked using a card.

We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations if it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or if a reservation appears to contain errors.

Special Event Charges We may charge a compulsory gala dinner supplement for special events such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or other festive periods. These charges will need to be settled separately and in addition to your room tariff.

Breakfast Timing Breakfast is served daily from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Requests for breakfast outside of these hours will incur additional charges.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 15 or more days before the check-in date: No cancellation fees; you will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 7 to 14 days before the check-in date: A cancellation charge equivalent to one night’s tariff will apply.

No-shows and cancellations made 0 to 6 days before the check-in date: 100% of the booking amount will be charged.

Refunds: In the case of a full refund on cancellation, there will be a deduction of approximately 5.7% as payment processing charges.

Note*: While these are our standard cancellation rules, we will make every effort to waive or minimize cancellation charges whenever possible.

Amendment Policy

Amendments to reservations will be treated as cancellations. Any refunds due to amendments will take at least 15 days to process. Please contact our reservation team for assistance with any changes to your booking.

This policy governs all reservations made directly with Hotel Crags, Dalhousie, or through our authorized booking channels. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms outlined herein.

We recognize that travel plans require flexibility. This policy is designed to balance guest convenience with operational fairness. Please review it thoroughly prior to confirming your reservation.

Cancellation timelines are calculated based on the scheduled arrival date (check-in date) and must be received by Hotel Crags before 12:00 PM (Indian Standard Time – IST) on the relevant deadline day.

Acknowledgment: By proceeding with a reservation at Hotel Crags, Dalhousie, you explicitly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Cancellation, Modification, and Refund Policy. This policy supersedes any prior verbal or written representations.
